2026 CAMP Mentor Registration

    Mentor Registration
Thank you for your interest in serving as a mentor with the Cooke Alumni Mentoring Program (CAMP). This program allows Cooke Alumni and Cooke Scholars (primarily undergraduate juniors) to build professional relationships through supportive conversations and interactions. The program will pair Alumni mentors with current Scholars who have similar academic or professional interests. Mentors will meet with their mentees a minimum of two times during the spring (virtually or in person) to share their knowledge of the field and address strengths and areas of growth related to their mentee's professional development.

Eligibility: To be a CAMP mentor, you must be a Cooke Graduate Scholar or Cooke Alum in good standing with the Foundation.

Registration: Complete this application by Friday, December 5, 2025. If we are able to find a great mentee match, you will be notified of your match details in early January.

    Program Expectations:
    1. Receive details about your mentee match and CAMP materials in mid-January.
    2. Attend a virtual kick-off event in January to meet your Scholar mentee.
    3. Participate in two (2) mentor-mentee meetings by April 30, 2026. Each meeting should last at least one hour. Additional meetings are welcome, but not required.
    4. Complete an online mentor feedback form by May 31, 2026.
Please contact mentoring@jkcf.org with any questions regarding CAMP.

These community guidelines for conduct are mandatory for all Scholars and Alumni participating in the mentoring program. As part of the program requirements, all participants must read and sign the guidelines prior to their involvement.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is committed to fostering an inclusive educational environment where every Scholar, Alum, Staff member, and Grantee, or other member of its broader community is treated with dignity and respect. We commit to actively building a community where people of all races, genders, ages, sexual orientations, religions, abilities, socioeconomic statuses, national origin, military statuses and other characteristics feel seen, safe, and celebrated.

There are many meaningful opportunities for Cooke Scholars and Alums to engage in mentorship, community building, and networking. In order to participate in Cooke Foundation-sponsored programs, events and activities, you must review and agree to abide by the Community Guidelines.

    Cooke Foundation’s core values

    • We ground our work in care – seeking to understand what others see, feel, and experience.

    • We build community by fostering mutual respect, engagement, support, and belonging.

    • We contribute to the future – possibilities begin with action today.

    Community Engagement Expectations

We expect Cooke Scholars and Alums to:

    • Positively represent the Cooke Scholar and Alumni community.

    • Be actively engaged in all programs and events.

    • Maintain respectful communications with other Scholars, Alums, and Foundation staff – listen actively, contribute constructively, and disagree with awareness of how our words and actions impact others.

    • Contribute to creating a community where all participants and staff feel safe, seen, and celebrated. Value differences as well as commonalities.

    • Maintain a professional boundary with fellow Scholars and Alums throughout the entirety of the community event and any mentorship connections that develop. Because of the power differential, mentors should be especially cognizant of personal and physical boundaries.

As Cooke Scholars and Alums, you will refrain from illegal or inappropriate activities or behavior. These include, but are not limited to:

    • Illegal or fraudulent activities.

    • Discrimination based on age, gender, race, sexual orientation, military status, national origin, ethnic, religious, or cultural background.

    • Harassment, hate speech, or other threatening activities.

    • Activities that violate others’ privacy.

    • Sexual harassment of any kind, including nonconsensual sexual advances.

    • Excessive drinking and the use of drugs on event premises.

    Reporting and Addressing Concerns

    • Contact Foundation staff right away if a concern arises. You may report a concern in-person or call the event emergency phone number. You may also call the Foundation’s main phone number or report a concern by email.

    • The Foundation is committed to appropriately investigating all reports in a timely manner and maintaining confidentiality to the extent possible under the circumstances.
